National Cemetery: Memorial Day 2012

Do you ponder the silence?

Or do you hear the noise?

Blood cries out.

The tumult of war brings the crack of the rifle,

The echo of a scream.

Today the asymmetrical battlespace brings

The sound of explosives.

Hand of hope reaches out.

"You are going home, buddy.

A nice prosthetic awaits you."

Do you ponder the silence?

Or do you hear the noise?

Walk between the ranks of

The dead at a national cemetery.

They are silent sentinels of our history.

But blood cries out.

Innocent blood  cries out for justice.

Do you remember the sounds of 9/11?

Contemplate that approximately 200 American citizens

Plummeted to their deaths

Like the embers cast from shooting star.

Remember today, the tumult of war.

Borne on the shoulders of men and women

Who have kept the oath and died

On native soil (Fort Hood) and in foreign lands,

since 9/11.

Status of Swofford Commentary

To all who have consistently clicked, called and queried me as to why the new site is not up yet - the problem is technical in nature.

The web hosting is having difficulty on their end - and I am hopeful that things will be resolved within a couple of days.

The first two commentaries: Cryptograph and Cryptograph II are ready. If you have not yet purchased _Arsenal_ there is still time to read it prior to venturing into my new commentary site.  Amazon and Kindle await. You may also use the Kindle lending library for a limited time, should you care to go that route. Barnes and Nobles eStore offers _Arsenal_.  The book is also offered in Germany, for customers there.

Hope to be up and running soon. I will begin to write in public corridor, in a manner in which I have only written in private corridor, up until this time.  Geopolitical commentary/analysis is my strength. You will see a glimpse of that strength with the first two posts. Enter the cryptograph of _Arsenal_ - take the dare and run with the bait.
